ARE YOU FED UP WITH YOU ARTEXED CEILINGS
You can have lovely smooth ceilings in two ways,
1) struggle to scrape, sand and fill them yourself, or
2) have them over plastered to a perfectly smooth finish.
textured ceilings are no longer what the majority want and with the chance of having up to 4% asbestos hanging over your head every day many people are getting rid of it.
One way to carry out this work is to seal, apply a floating coat followed by finish plaster, this will give you a smooth finish, ideal especially in kitchens and bathrooms there dirt and grime seem to be attracted to the bumps and dips.
another way and offering extra benefits is to overboard the ceiling and finish with plaster. this will give you an extra half hour min of fire resistance. This way is more expensive but the added fire protection far out weighs the extra cost.
